St. Francis Outdoor Film Series: Fargo

Pack a blanket and join hundreds on the lawn of their beautiful Sonoma Valley Visitors Center for a film under the stars. Sommelier and noted wine personality, Christopher Sawyer will introduce and pair St Francis’ wines with each classic film and featured wines will be sold by the glass. Transcendence Artist Series: Carrie Manolakos & Morgan Karr in Concert

You may remember singer/songwriter/Youtube sensation/broadway lead Carrie Manolakos from two sold-out performances last summer in Benziger's Wine Cave (not to mention her breathtaking rendition of "Hallelujah" in Broadway Under The Stars) and if you saw our "Fly Me To The Moon" concerts last summer, you'll definitely remember award-winning performer Morgan Karr from his show-stopping version of "For Once In My Life."

Creative Studio Pop Up

Creative Studio Pop-up is a short-term retail space comprised of local artists and craftsman that share a unique, but common vision: to bring art to local communities and to celebrate the expression of art through various mediums.

From mobile units and trucks to exhibition spaces, Pop-up retail is gaining in popularity. Permanent retail space is expensive and many local artisans can't afford permanent overhead. Creative Studio Pop-up provides local artists with an affordable, temporary space to showcase their work to a local community.

Transcendence Artist Series: Steppin' Out with Ben Vereen

Steppin’ Out Live with Ben Vereen has been dazzling audiences around the world. The show highlights Mr. Vereen’s unique artistry, combining a tribute to Broadway and Frank Sinatra. Featuring hit songs such as “Defying Gravity,” “Stand By Me” and “My Way,” Steppin’ Out Live with Ben Vereen is a contemporary yet timeless journey. The New York Times dubbed him “an old-school song and dance man who never lets up. He wins you over with his sheer energy, good will and showbiz know-how.”

This spectacular evening takes place in Jack London Historic State Park and similar to Transcendence's "Broadway Under The Stars" concerts, it begins at 5pm for preshow picnicking and wine on the great lawn of the park, with food and wine available for purchase, and continues with the performance in the breathtaking open-air winery ruins.

The J Pink Party

A celebration of summer and J Vineyards & Winery is celebrating one of their most beloved sparkling wines, the J Vineyard Brut Rose. Transcendence Artist Series: Witness Uganda

Following a sold-out run at A.R.T. that was directed by Tony Award Winner Diane Paulus, the creators of Witness Uganda share an intimate concert with Sonoma Valley. 

Winner of the 2014 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater, this profound piece is a world-changing movement. 

Told through personal stories of triumph and tragedy against the backdrop of heart thumping Afro-pop music, Witness Uganda's young creators tackle the question: is changing the world even possible?

Russian River Jazz and Blues Festival

Part of the appeal of this immensely popular annual gathering is the magical setting, at Johnson's Beach & Resort on the Russian River. It's just one block from Guerneville's Main Street, and towering redwoods keep the crowds cool against the banks of the water. Even cooler is the line-up of top performers, including Larry Graham & Graham Central Station, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Roy Rogers & The Delta Rhythm Kings, Boney James, and Gary Clark, Jr. The fun plays over two stages, and guests are invited to bring a blanket and low-back chairs.

Doors open at 10 a.m. daily and the music rocks until 6 p.m., rounded out with food vendors, wine tastings, dancing in the grass, and even canoes, kayaks and paddle boats for rent on the river.
