From the Buena Vista Social Club Omara Portuondo 85 Tour

Easy Rider Live

Sonic Cinema presents “Easy Rider Live”, featuring a screening of the film “Easy Rider” accompanied by a fabulous, live, 7-piece band performing the entire 11-song soundtrack, listed by Rolling Stone as one of the top 25 movie soundtracks of all time.  Much more than a “tribute” performance,  songs by artists such Dylan, Hendrix, The Band, The Byrds and Steppenwolf are re-imagined with Tracy Blackman, Jesse Smith and Robert Powell on vocals with Jimmy Dillon on lead guitar.

American Grown Field to Vase Dinner: Sunset at Cornerstone

Be among the first to experience the new home of Sunset Magazine's test garden at Cornerstone in Sonoma, California.  Field to Vase Dinner guests are in for a treat, as Sunsetgarden editor Johanna Silver plays host to the special few in attendance October 16.

This extra-special Field to Vase Dinner will be held among the rows of flowers and foliage that make up Sunset’s test garden.  Guests will dine on a menu full of fresh-picked food from the garden and other local farms.

American Grown flowers, food and wine will take center stage on this stop along a dinner tour that the Wall Street Journal is calling a “Feast Among the Flora.”  The evening will focus on celebrating the idea that the flowers at the center of the table should be as fresh, local and sustainable as the food on your plate.

Jethro Tull

Ian Anderson, known throughout the world of rock music as the flute and voice behind the legendary Jethro Tull, celebrates his 48th year as an international recording and performing musician in 2016.

Jethro Tull formed in 1968 out of the amalgamation of the John Evan Band and McGregor’s Engine, two blues-based local UK groups. After a lengthy career, Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull have released 30 studio and live albums, selling more than 60 million copies since the band first performed at London’s famous Marquee Club in February 1968.

Southern Culture On The Skids

Southern Culture On The Skids has been spreading the rock and roll gospel since they formed in Chapel Hill, NC in 1983. Guitarist/singer Rick Miller, drummer Dave Hartman and bassist/singer/heartbreaker Mary Huff, play a greasy mix of surf, rockabilly, R&B and country-fried garage with a side of psych, all the while driving fans into ecstatic, sweat-drenched paroxysms of joy. It’s a musical gumbo Miller calls, “Americana from the wrong side of the tracks.”

Fishbone

Celebrating 25+ groundbreaking years, FISHBONE has been trailblazing their way through the history of American Ska, Funk, Punk, Rock Fusion and (so-called) Black Rock since starting their professional career in Los Angeles' burgeoning, Alternative Rock music scene of the mid-1980s. Their sound has often been imitated, but never duplicated. They have toured worldwide with such bands as the Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots, Les Claypool/Primus, Fela Kuti, George Clinton, The Dead Kennedys and many more.
