Today (early this morning), our friends at St. Francis Winery and Vineyards began the 2012 Harvest, picking the first batch of Chardonnay grapes. Workers move at a speed that would astonish most, and do so with precision and ease, with laughter, hollers and smiles. The grapes in the photos below were picked from the Hunter Vineyard in Sonoma Valley and then taken back to St. Francis Winery for a celebratory cheer with the entire team when the first batch hit the crushpad.
