Remember back in April when we covered the wonderful Sonoma International Film Festival and interviewed filmmaker John Beck from Harvest Documentary? Well, his amazing film about Sonoma wineries is showing in theatres starting tomorrow! Rialto Cinemas in Sebastopol, Sonoma Cinemas in Sonoma and Raven Theater in Healdsburg!
“Harvest” opens for a week-long run Sept. 14 at Rialto Cinemas in Sebastopol (Director John Beck will do Q&A’s after 7 p.m. screenings Fri Sept. 14 and Sat Sept. 15), then Sept. 21, 22 and 23 at Sonoma Cinemas (Director will do Q&A’s after 7 p.m. screenings Fri Sept. 21 and Sun Sept. 23) and a week-long run starting Sept. 28 at the Raven Theater in Healdsburg (Director will do Q&A’s after 7 p.m. screenings Fri Sept. 28 and Sat Sept. 29).
The film follows five Sonoma County family wineries – Robledo, Rafanelli, Foppiano, Harvest Moon and Robert Hunter – along with an amateur home winemakers and an all-female picking crew from Mexico – in what everyone would worst harvest in their lifetimes.
