And that’s a wrap!
The main events of the 15th Annual Sonoma International Film Festival are complete. With a star-studded group and incredible filmmakers, the 2012 festival was, in our opinion, the best yet. Covering the festival was an experience we’ll not soon forget. Attending parties, screenings, special performances, discussions, films, interviewing filmmakers, enjoying great food and wine and so much more- the Sonoma International Film Festival was a high-paced great time. Watch our short recap video to relive the awesome time had by all at this years film festival.
With guests including Christopher Lloyd (you know, most famously from Back to the Future), John Waters, James Suckling, Robert Kamen, Bachelor Ben Flajnik and so many more, we had a great time mingling with not only celebrities, but friends, directors, actors, film buffs and festival attendees. Christopher Lloyd starred in both Cadaver, a short animated film by Jonah D. Ansell, and Last Call, a feature by Greg Garthe, which in our opinion should be played in theatres everywhere! Director John Waters performed his standup “This Filthy World” on Saturday evening to a sold-out crowd at the Veterans Memorial Building.
One thing you’ll notice from the video, is that Sonoma loves to dance and party! The Backlot Tent and other festival venues offered great music for everyone to enjoy. The Sebastiani Theatre is always a great venue to enjoy live performances and films and serves as a staple icon to the Sonoma International Film Festival.
We can’t wait to cover more festivals and events like this and wish to give you a taste of the awesome experience this festival offers.
